Why do you need video? Yes!MediaWorks offers an interesting argument here. This post cites a Boston Globe article about a study where researchers looked at the medical care choices people made after a watching a video.
Apparently they felt they had a better grasp on what was involved in different medical treatments after watching videos over verbal explanations.

“One novel batch of studies led by Harvard Medical School researcher Dr. Angelo Volandes found that many patients shown simple but graphic videos about invasive medical treatments changed their end-of-life preferences to less aggressive approaches.
“I often hear patients say that pictures speak a thousand words, but video, hundreds of thousands,” said Volandes, 41, a Massachusetts General Hospital internist. (Read more of this story here)
Video allows you to show your customers your value. You can tell them, but unless you SHOW them, will they really understand?
